Epson ET-7700 Setup

Epson ET-7700 is a wireless All-in-One printer that supports various printer functions, such as print, copy, and scan. This printer uses Inkjet printing technology. Below are the quick steps to do Epson ET-7700 setup for the first time.

  1. Unpack the Epson printer.
  2. Ensure that all the essential accessories are included in the printer box.
  3. Raise the scanner unit followed by the ink tank cover.
  4. Open the ink tank cap. Take one of the new ink bottles from the package and open its cap.
  5. Fill the ink tank and close the ink tank cap.
  6. Lower the ink tank cover followed by the scanner unit.
  1. Similarly, fill the remaining ink tanks.
  2. Plug in the power cord to the printer’s rear port and an electrical outlet.
  3. Lift the control panel and press the Power button to turn on the Epson ET-7700 setup.
  4. Set your language and then charge the ink delivery system.
  5. Place some paper in the cassette. Align the side edge guides to fit the paper.
  6. Pull out the output tray and then set the paper settings in the control panel.

Epson Et-7700 Driver Installation

  1. Place the product CD into your computer’s CD-drive.
  2. Note: If you lost the product CD or your computer does not have the CD-drive, download the Epson printer software from the manufacturer website. 
  3. Double-click the installer file to begin the installation, then follow the steps on the installation wizard.
  4. In the Select Your Connection window, choose Wireless Connection, Direct USB Connection, or Wired Connection.
  5. Carry out the rest of the on-screen instructions to complete the driver installation.

Epson Et-7700 Wireless Setup

  1. If needed, press the Home button on the Epson ET-7700 setup’s control panel.
  2. Select the Wi-Fi Setup option and press OK.
  3. Press OK to choose the Wi-Fi (Recommended) option. 
  4. To open the Connect via Wi-Fi screen, press OK.
  5. Choose the Wi-Fi Setup Wizard option and press OK.
  6. Select your wireless network name and press OK.

Loading CD

  1. Press the Home button followed by the CD button on the Epson ET-7700 setup’s control panel.
  2. Select the Load CD/DVD option and press OK.
  3. When you see a prompt message, select the Yes option and press OK.
  4. Open the control panel. Ensure that the output tray is empty.
  5. After closing the front cover, remove the CD/DVD tray from the printer.
  6. Place your CD with its printable side facing up in the CD/DVD tray.
  7. Insert the CD tray into its slot in the printer and press OK.

Printing from a computer

  1. On your Windows computer, click the Epson Print CD icon to open the software.
  2. Set a pre-designed template or add a background. 
  3. Once done with creating a design, select the Save option.
  4. In Epson Print CD, open your file to print and click the Print option.
  5. Navigate to the Printer drop-down menu and check if the Epson ET-7700 printer is selected.
  6. To know how your design will look before printing it on the disc, click the Test Print button and continue with the prompts.
  7. To begin the printing, click the Print button.

Epson ET-7700 Double Sided Printing

  1. Load enough paper in the cassette and pull out the output tray.
  2. On your Windows computer, open a document to print.
  3. Click the Print icon. If needed, select the Epson ET-7700 setup.
  4. To open the Printing Preferences window, click the Properties or Preferences option.
  5. In the Main tab, navigate to the 2-Sided Printing drop-down menu. Choose one of the following options.

  7. Auto (Short-edge binding)
  8. Manual (Long-edge binding)
  9. Manual (Short-edge binding)
  10. Click Settings to open the Binding Settings window.
  11. Navigate to the Binding Edge section. Select Left Long-edge, Top Short-edge, or Right Long-edge.

  13. To open the Print Density Adjustment window, click the Print Density button.
  14. Set your document type and click OK.
  15. Set other additional print settings in the Main tab and click the OK button.
  16. The Epson ET-7700 printer begins to print. If you see any instruction on display, perform it.

Epson Et-7700 Scan Setup

  1. Lift the document cover. Place your document (printed side face down) on the scanner glass. 
  2. Close the document cover.
  3. Select Scan and press OK on the Epson ET-7700 setup’s control panel.
  4. Choose your scan option and press OK.
  5. Select the USB Connection option if you have connected the printer to your computer using a USB cable. If you have connected the printer over a wireless network, select your computer name.
  6. To begin scanning, press the Start button.

  1. Make sure to place a document on the printer’s scanner glass.
  2. Launch the Epson Scan 2 program.
  3. Choose the document type from the Mode drop-down menu.
  4. Click the Main Settings tab.

Epson Et-7700 Power Cleaning Guide

Using the printer’s control panel

  1. Turn off the Epson ET-7700 setup.
  2. Hold the Power, OK, and down arrow buttons at the same time.
  3. Release these buttons once you see the Power Cleaning screen.
  4. Carry out the LCD panel instructions to run power cleaning.
  5. Once it is done, make sure to run a nozzle check.

Using the printer program

  1. On the home screen of your Windows computer, navigate to the taskbar. Click the arrow icon followed by the printer icon. 
  2. Select the Printer Settings option. Go to the Maintenance tab and then click the Power Cleaning option.
  3. Continue with the on-screen steps to run the power cleaning process.
  4. After the completion of this process, you have to run a nozzle check.

  1. Turn off the Epson ET-7700 setup and turn it back on.
  2. On your Windows computer, press the Win and I keys together. Launch Settings and click the Devices option followed by the Device and Printer option. 
  3. Right-click the Epson printer icon and select See What’s Printing.
  4. Remove the checkmark beside the Pause Printing and Use Printer Offline options if they have been selected already.
  5. Try to print a nozzle check pattern. If you cannot print it, check if you see any error messages. If so, clear them as per the LCD panel instructions.
  6. If you cannot print the nozzle check pattern, delete all the pending print jobs. 
  7. If necessary, reinstall the Epson printer software on your computer.

Jammed paper inside the printer

  1. Raise the printer’s scanner unit.
  2. Take out the jammed paper and remove the torn pieces of paper.
  3. After closing the scanner unit, check if there are any error messages on the LCD panel. 
  4. If you see an error message, follow the LCD panel instructions to clear it.

Jammed paper in the paper cassette

  1. Close the Epson ET-7700 setup’s output tray.
  2. Remove both the paper cassettes and remove the jammed paper.
  3. Place both the cassettes back in the printer.

Jammed paper in the rear cover

  1. Remove the rear cover from the printer and take out the jammed paper.
  2. Also, clear the jammed paper from the duplexer.
  3. Attach the rear cover to the printer.

Steps: Epson Et-7700 Not Printing

  1. Check if the Epson ET-7700 printer is turned on.
  2. Make sure the interface cable is firmly connected between the printer and your computer.
  3. Do not use a USB hub for the USB cable connection. Instead, connect the printer to the computer directly.
  4. Print a test page on the Epson printer. If it prints, there might be a problem with the printer software. Re-install it on the computer.
  5. If you have multiple printers on your Windows computer, set Epson ET-7700 setup as the default one.
  6. Also, clear all the print jobs from the Windows Spooler.

Epson Et-7700 Print Head Cleaning Steps

Using the Epson ET-7700 setup’s control panel

  1. Place a few sheets of paper in the paper cassette.
  2. Select the Settings option and press OK on the control panel.
  3. Choose the Maintenance option followed by the Head Cleaning option. Press the OK button.
  4. To begin the print head cleaning, press the Start button.
  5. After the cleaning process, you will see a completion message on the screen.
  6. To print a nozzle check pattern, press Start on the control panel.

Using the printer software

  1. Place a paper in the paper cassette. 
  2. Perform one of these following steps depending on your computer’s OS.
  3. Windows – Go to the taskbar, locate the printer icon, and click it. 
  4. Mac – Navigate to the Dock and choose the System Preferences option. Click the Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners option. Choose the Epson ET-7700 setup. Select Options & Supplies -> Utility -> Open Printer Utility.
  5. Clean the Head Cleaning option followed by the Start option.
  6. After cleaning the print head, click Print Nozzle Check Pattern -> Print to check the nozzles.
  7. If there are no gaps in the printed nozzle check pattern, select the Finish option.
