Epson Stylus Pro 1400 Setup

The Epson Stylus Pro 1400 printer is best known for its print quality. This printer can deliver large-size printouts scaling up to 13” x 19”. But this is a print-only printer and supports only the USB interface. To know the Epson Stylus Pro 1400 setup process, read and proceed with the below instructions.

  1. First, open the product box and check whether the components such as Epson Stylus Pro 1400 printer, setup CD, quick setup guide, and ink cartridges are present inside the pack. If yes, continue with the below instructions. If not, contact your printer dealer or manufacturer.
  2. Clear all the packing tapes present around the printer. 
  3. Connect the printer to an electrical outlet.
  4. Press the Power button to turn ON the printer.
  5. Open the top cover followed by the ink cartridge cover.
  6. Take the ink cartridges out of their packages and place them into their slots.
  7. Close the cartridge cover followed by the printer cover.
  1. Now, press the Ink button to charge the ink. It may take around 3 minutes for the ink charging process to complete.
  2. Open the printer’s paper support.
  3. Similarly, open the output tray. Make sure to pull out the extension of the paper support and the output tray. 
  4. Load a stack of plain paper in the paper support. Align the paper edge guide correctly. 
  5. The Epson Stylus Pro 1400 setup has been completed. 
  6. Now, install the printer software on your computer.
  7. Make sure to select the correct connection type during the driver installation process.
  8. Finally, try a test print.

Driver Installation:

  1. First, make sure that your printer and the Mac computer are not connected together.

Epson Stylus Pro 1400 Offline

  1. First, check whether your printer is turned ON or not. If not, turn it ON.
  2. Make sure that the printer and your computer are connected firmly.
  3. Check whether you have selected the correct printer while configuring the print operation. If not, select the printer correctly. 
  4. Try restarting your Epson Stylus Pro 1400 setup.

Uninstalling the printer driver

  1. Make sure that your Epson Stylus Pro 1400 setup is turned OFF.
  2. Now, go to your Mac computer’s System Preferences section.
  3. Select Print & Fax > “your Epson printer”. 
  4. Click the minus icon beside your printer followed by the Delete Printer button.
  5. Now, go to the hard drive section.

  8. In the Library window, select Printers > PPD > Contents > Resources.

Epson Stylus Pro 1400 Paper Feed Problems

  1. Make sure that the loaded media type is supported by the printer.
  2. Check if the paper support extension is pulled up correctly. If not, pull it out and then reload the paper in the paper support.
  3. If the loaded paper is curled, crashed, wrinkled, or too thin, then remove and reload the paper.
  4. If the paper jam error is displayed on your printer’s LCD screen, then press the Paper button to clear it.
