How to Connect Epson Printer to Laptop Without Cd

Follow these steps to connect the Epson printer to the laptop device without CD

  1. Complete the basic installation steps such as connecting the power cord, loading papers in the paper tray, ink cartridges installation, and language setup.
  2. Make sure to turn on your printer before connecting it to the laptop.
  3. Download the driver software compatible with your Operating System(OS) from the manufacturer’s site.
  4. Navigate to the downloaded file and give a double-click to run the setup. The downloaded file extension will be ‘.EXE’ for Windows and ‘.DMG’ for Mac.
  5. The Setup Wizard screen will get open, and the installation process begins.
  6. Select a language and the place of residence from the Setup wizard screen.
  7. Accept the End User License Agreement by clicking the Agree button.
  8. There are two connection methods for connecting the printer and the laptop; Wired and Wireless.
  9. Select the Connection type as Wired or Cable setup if you have a standard USB cable to connect the Epson printer to the laptop.
  10. Else, select the Connection type as Wireless or Cableless setup if you have a seamless internet connection.
  1. To connect the printer to the laptop wirelessly, you must link both the devices to the same access point.
  2. Press the Home button on the Epson printer panel and navigate to the Wi-Fi setup option.
  3. Press OK and select the Wi-Fi Setup Wizard tab from the panel.
  4. Choose your network name and enter your Wi-Fi password to connect the printer to the network.
  5. When the ‘Setup Complete and Print report’ message appears on the screen, select Yes to print the network information page.
  6. Now, go to the Setup Wizard screen on your laptop and verify that the SSID of the router and printer model are displayed automatically.
  7. If it prompts you to manually enter the SSID of the router and printer name, enter the credentials in the required columns.
  8. The Setup Completed screen will be displayed, ensuring that the connection is made correctly.
  9. Register your Epson printer on the laptop if needed, or skip the process.
  10. The driver installation is now complete, and you can access the driver software to perform the printer operations.
  11. The Epson printer and the laptop are connected.
