How to Connect Epson XP-440 Printer to Wifi?


Using the product’s control panel:

  1. You can connect Epson XP-440 Printer to Wifi while executing driver setup on your computer.
  2. Before the product’s software installation, complete the basic printer settings such as ink installation, paper loading, and paper alignments.
  3. For the basic setup, refer to the User Guide or Start Here sheet that comes along with the printer during the first time of purchase.
  4. Ensure that you have a standard internet connection for connecting the printer to the wireless network.
  5. Connect the computer to the local wireless network and do not establish a connection between the Epson printer and the computer until the Setup Wizard prompts.
  6. Uninstall any previously installed Epson drivers on your computer before starting the driver setup.
  7. Disable the firewall or security application to avoid the software installation blocking issue.
  8. You can use either an Epson setup CD or a downloaded driver file to begin the driver installation.
  9. Follow the guidance on the driver installation screen and choose the wireless connection option.
  10. Make sure to choose the “Set up the printer for the first time” radio button followed by the Using printer buttons option.
  11. For connecting the Epson printer to a wireless network, the network credentials are some essential requirements.
  1. It will be prompted on the driver setup screen if the computer is connected to the wireless network.
  2. Otherwise, you can identify it on the label that is located at the backside of the Wi-Fi router.

  7. Place the Wi-Fi router or access point near the printer to avoid network traffics.
  8. When the printer displays your wireless network name, choose it correctly using the navigation keys.
  9. If the wireless network name is unavailable in the displayed list, enter the SSID manually using the printer buttons.
  10. Enter the password or network key and press the OK button.
  11. Press the Start button to print the network status sheet or report for verifying the wireless connection.
  12. Also, the printer displays a Wi-Fi icon with connection bars on the top-right corner of the screen, confirming that the printer is connected to a wireless network.
